Oil Pastels

This is an oil pastel tonal drawing of the distorted image i had previously manipulated. I think the oil pastel help to portray a different light on the image as i can use several colours to achieve the required look. I felt that pastels were harder to use than charcoal as i could not create the sharp lines that i needed. Also in order to improve this piece i could have like the previous post focused on one area to showcase the manipulation and colours more.



Tonal Drawings

This is my tonal drawing of the post below. As you can see i have only focused on the face as i believe this section of the image has the most striking distortion. The media i have used for this piece is charcoal the use of this media allows me to add tone to the face. Also i can be ensured that i can create both soft and harsh lines. However, controlling the charcoal was quite time consuming and difficult.

Distortion

Here is  my interpretation of distortion. Using Photo manipulation on the internet i managed to alter the features on the face. I really like the overall effect of this image especially on the hands and face. The way in which colours merge together add to the distortion of the image. I hope to create some drawings from this piece.
